Utility-Scale Solar Development

Working as a contractor for leading renewable energy companies, Alternative Energy, Inc. was responsible for site selection and lease negotiations for two thousand acres in PA, MD, VA, DE - and two hundred megawatts in the PJM queue. We have also helped our clients with successful grant application and administration with awards in excess of $1 million dollars; as well as detailed responses to RFPs (requests for proposals) for grid-tied and behind-the-meter projects.

Founder Bill Finch was the lead developer on obtaining permits for the 15 MW Keystone Solar farm in Lancaster County, PA. Phase I of that project at 6 megawatts, is currently being developed by Community Energy, Inc.

Alternative Energy, Inc. specializes in early stage development of renewable energy projects: site selection through local and state permitting. We are experienced in government and community relations and have worked as registered lobbyists in Pennsylvania, Delaware and Florida.

Alternative Energy, Inc. appears at public hearings and before regulatory agencies and planning commissions on behalf of our clients.

We are currently working with a Pennsylvania-based electrical contractor on permitting of behind-the-meter systems, including a 7.2 MW solar farm and rooftop systems in the 500 kW range.
