Returns and Warranty

Return of Damaged merchandise Items that have been visually damaged during shipping – should be refused and immediately referred to the shipping carrier.  If you have additional questions, contact customer service via the “Contact” section of our web site.Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience.

www.Altern-Energy.com is a distributor of energy and water efficient devices. Products sold are not manufactured by us and are covered only by the original manufacturer's warranty.

Defective returns within 30 days of receipt of product: If an item purchased from www.Altern-energy.com is found to be defective within 30 days of receipt, please request a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA#). Go to “Contact” at the top of our home page and select – “Returns.”  You will receive shipping instructions and an RMA#.  Please note - in many cases, the return will go back to the manufacturer and not www.Altern-Energy.com.

Once you have been instructed where to return the item - you are responsible for shipping charges back to that address. Once issued, RMA numbers are valid for 30 days from the date issued and items must be received in that time frame.  Please reference this number in a clear location on the outside of the package when returning product.

We will contact the manufacturer on your behalf - who will repair or replace the product at their discretion.

Return of defective product - during course of manufacturer’s warranty If a product is found to be defective - beyond 30 days of receipt and for the duration of the warranty, please contact the manufacturer directly.  See listing below of manufacturer contact information.  Always save your original purchase receipt.

Return of unused merchandise Unused merchandise purchased through www.Altern-Energy.com may be returned within 30 days of receipt of the product.

You will receive a refund or credit towards your account, provided the merchandise is returned in the original packaging in new, resalable condition with the original blank warranty cards, manuals and all accessories.  

If any component of the returned product is missing, we reserve the right to reject the return.  We may be required to impose additional charges for replacement of the missing component(s).

A 10% restock fee will be charged for all returns. Unless an error was made by www.Altern-Energy.com, shipping charges are not refundable.
